Then at another thrift store I snagged this Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic pillow for $1. (NOTE: When buying anything fabric at a thrift store, ALWAYS give it a good whiff. There's nothing worse than bringing something into your home that smells of cigarette smoke. Sometimes even washing the item will not take out the smell.)

I like those finds. I know what you mean about the smell. I bought a purse once off e-bay and it smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Needless to say it ended up being a yard sale item. Hope you are having a great weekend. Jackie
Great finds! I love buying linens/fabrics and sewing. I don't do as much as I used to since I moved into a small apartment. Jay has promised me a sewing/craft room when we buy a house! I CAN'T WAIT!
Your home is beautiful,
Amy
oh my I would have loved to find the Rachel Ashwell one...I'm putting it on my 'to find' list tho I did find a Cath Kidston this week for 3 bucks, yeeehaw
goodness I am so with on the whiff and sniff, just have to do it don't you? the cushion I just bought I soaked in white-laundry soaker as it was a bit grubby and I can't believe how well it came up, yet another reason to go thrifting lol!!
