Harleigh was asked by a good friend to go to Prom where she used to attend high school. She had a blast. Dinner at
Dante's Down the Hatch, riding in a stretch limo, prom at
Twelve at Atlantic Station, and a huge after-party with a bunch of great (and good!) kids.
Marissa, our church's Director of Children's Ministries, did her hair. Stellar job, if I might add. Harleigh's touch . . . the flip flops. Date her height, not wanting to spend any money on anything new, knowing she'd be kicking off her shoes to dance, and for the sheer comfort. Perhaps not in line with the heels the other girls wore, but honestly, I think all eyes were on what a beauty I believe her to be.

When it rains it pours. We will be doing the hot water heater soon, and possibly a new freezer. Our is sounding like it is on its last leg. So sorry about your garage door, but Harleigh is absolutely gorgeous! I love the idea of the flip flops, she was comfortable most likely while others feet were killing them. I am with you, I bet all eyes were on her. Praying for a better week for you(nothing that needs repair). Jackie
She is such a stunner. I bet you are so proud. :)
She is a beauty, Dawn! Just lovely in that dress - and the flip-flops are such a fun idea. I wore heels the other day for the first time in a long time - my feet were tired! What I love about the flip-flops is that she is obviously her own person and not afraid to make her own choice!
I gotta say it again...Harleigh is just a beauty--both inside & out! And, that dress is probably the most stylish prom dress I have ever seen. Very tasteful, modest, but with a little funky edgy-ness...
Love her beautiful, unique dress. Her hair is gorgeous, and I love that she wore flip flops. I admire a girl who can be comfortable with herself and her decisions. Her apparant confidence in herself will carry her far.
