My newest mission is to find brightly colored vintage pillowcases. In the past I would have been more drawn to white, lacy, embroidered linens, but now I'm finding sheet sets from the 60's and 70's to be really happy additions to my linen closet! Found these two last weekend at a buck a piece. Harleigh saw them and said, "oooo, I want those on my bed. How fun!!"
They mix and match really well too, unified by their bursts of color!
Dawn, Thank you so much for posting at creative breathing. Buns, yes it is still here! It burned down about 7 years ago and has been rebuilt. My husband celebrated my 50th birthday there with a surprise party! (It's where I got my second new blue ring!) New courthouses, the Brown Jug is now a Hoggy's, Cubberly's is STILL there taking all of the HS grad pics, my son included! He also went to OWU, hasn't changed. Please enter me to win a journal, they are beautiful My hasband has traveled to every single country in the world. What a great idea to use maps as the cover. OOOOOHHHH, Pilsner's is now an antique mall as well as the old lady's clothing store, and the old grocery store; so come hunting! Elizabeth
Hi there Dawn, I have been meaning to write to you for quite awhile. There is a little something that I have that always makes me think of you. So, I have decided that you should have it. :) May I send you a little something in the mail? No biggy, just a little something that I think you will enjoy and I want you to have. :) Hugs, Cece
"Our house was not unsentient matter — it had a heart and a soul, and eyes to see with; and approvals and solicitudes and deep sympathies; it was of us, and we were in its confidence and lived in its grace and in the peace of its benedictions. We never came home from an absence that its face did not light up and speak out in eloquent welcome — and we could not enter it unmoved."- Samuel Clemens
I am probably the most content person you'd ever want to meet. I have a decent job working with people I like, a loving family including a swell Old English Sheepdog, a home where nesting and curling up on slipcovered sofas is required, and a life rich in creative crafting and daydreaming. I someday want a cottage at the beach where my grandchildren can bring sandy feet into the house, wet bathing suits can dry on the front porch and everything we need to get to is a bicycle ride away.

I occasionally find place mats that would look great made into these kinds of pillows. I haven't made any yet, but someday...
What a neat collection! I'll be on the lookout over this way and let you know if I find any!
Fun! I have found myself looking through some of those myself. The very ones my Mom has probably tossed out. Jackie
Cute! My teenage daughter would love those, too.
I remember these pillowcase from my teen days in the 70's! How fun.
