Newest "Snow Globe"

I said I was going to make a snow globe out of that fish bowl that I used for Trunk or Treat (and for the love of Pete, if you don't want to see my quite scary face, then don't click here!). It turned out really fun.

The base is an old ceramic wash bowl. The whole "snow globe" stands about 1 1/2 feet high. For the inside I found this snowman with lights inside that change colors. I wrapped some fake garland around his base. Because 1) the fish bowl moved a bit on the wash bowl, and 2) I had to be able to take it off to turn the snowman on and off, I hot-glued some fake poinsettias onto the wash bowl to anchor the globe.

I love all the possibilities that Christmas decorating offers!

Adorable! I love the snowman. does he run on a battery? And I think maybe I gave you that wash bowl. If so, I'm honored it's landed in your blog! :-)
I feel special!
