Repurposed Dollhouse = Quaint Shelving

With these as my inspiration . . .

. . . I took an old maple dollhouse I'd found at a thrift store many moons ago, dusted off the years of garage dust, and got to work. My newly painted and oh-so-happy hutch is a bit small for the large wall it graces, so the dollhouse shelf's home was a no-brainer. I gave it a couple coats of paint and added a black cardstock scallop on the roof front. It's now home to Salty and Peppy, a few floral ceramic pieces, a small cake stand holding a shell, my collection of vintage aprons, a jar of faux acorns, and, well, it had to have at least one room that truly is made for a doll. I made a removable wall and covered it in dollhouse wallpaper (a roll on clearance at Hobby Lobby for 18 cents!) — by adding that, it makes the room smaller, a bit more in scale with the lone piece of furniture I put in.

I love my hutch.
