Got a big box in the mail today filled with goodies from my Dad up in Maryland. One of the events that Courtney and I are working on involves old skeleton keys. A quick call to my Dad, can he please keep an eye open for them (he goes to auctions all the time), and he remembers he has a stash somewhere in the garage. Sends me all of them! And also gifted me with a tole umbrella stand that once belonged to my Nana. And I discovered lots of other vintage items with each piece of newspaper I unwrapped.
I found a place for it in my Candy Spelling gift closet; it now holds stray rolls of wrapping paper.
omg i have a MAJOR favor to ask - can I please photograph them before you do anything with them? I would love to do a series. i would gift you the prints in return. pretty please?
ReplyDeleteWow, your dad is cool! I once went thrifting with my dad and he convinced me not to buy a ten dollar vintage tricycle, that same day he bought a sticky, gross olive green blender. I don't think he has ever used a blender in my lifetime. Tell your dad I want a vintage tricycle complete with ringing bell.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of your dad to send you such fun stuff. AND... you get free photos from Ali. Good deal!
ReplyDeleteYour father sounds very cool! Don't you just love that tole stand? Perfect for your paper. Have a great Easter weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh how much fun! I'd love a string of old keys like that. What a great DAD, and another precious memory to go with it. Have a blessed Easter! Jackie
