This is what has shut down Atlanta. The snow isn't the big deal, though, it's the ice. There was a 27-car pile-up on the interstate this morning; luckily no one was seriously injured. I'm working from home, Harleigh (from a trip to the library yesterday) is planning on staying in bed reading all day, and Gideon is splitting his time between snuggling and snowy frolics.
And today gives me a good excuse to bring Harleigh breakfast and lunch in bed. Isn't a warm muffin always better on a paper doily?
Our new kiddo still hasn't gone back to school because of the snow this week. He was supposed to go on Tuesday, but they have called off school every day. We have had a 3 week Christmas vacation! I hope you are enjoying your day at home.
ReplyDeleteSo nice. Wonderful to have a long weekend. We got a dusting here in Virginia but with the cold temps the roads were a bit treacherous this morning. We still have snow laying around from our big storm in December.
ReplyDeleteI am headed to the library on the way home to get a stack of books and then do a little shopping with some Christmas giftcards. I am so looking forward to the weekend!
Hope yours is wonderful.
Kim
Paper doilies are so pretty and sophisticated too. I would hope Gideon would get his bowl of food on a doily too. Wouldn't want him to feel left out ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a happy weekend.
