New Year Nesting

The little girlie is in New York City for 5 days on a school senior girl discipleship leader trip. Gideon is at the groomer's. It's rainy and chilly here. Tomorrow is a big crafting day at Chateau Gahan. Ali the bride, her mom, and two friends are coming over. So today I'm cleaning, putting a nice lunch together for us and enjoying a day of nesting. This past week at work was a bear, and I'm glad to be doing simple, happy chores.

  1. I hear ya.
Puttering and cleaning is the best and easiest way to recharge your personal batteries.
Thanks what I'm doing today (just taking a break right now).

  2. Isn't it nice just to be able to piddle around the house on some days? I was about to lose my mind when our new son was home with me all day, every day for three weeks over Christmas break. Now that we have settled into a new routine (with him at school during the day!) I get to have a bit of time to myself again to do my nesting. :)

I hope you have a great weekend!

  3. So nice. I love your home. That's what I've been doing this morning- piddling around the house, doing laundry, dishes, that sort of thing. I love it.

    Have a wonderful Sunday.
    Hugs,

  4. Hi Dawn,

I have a question: I am looking for a little light like you have on the side of your cupboard in the kitchen. Where did you find yours?

  5. The rain is trickling down outside, and I am in the mood to nest. Lots of sewing that needs to be done. Right now I am plugging in a movie, and cuddling w/ Stella. Everything looks so nice and cozy over there. Have a wonderful evening. Jackie
