Before my home becomes bathed in the smell of pumpkins and cinnamon for Fall and cranberry and pine for Christmas, I thought I'd enjoy a fragrance that I always love . . . the smell of a spa. Back in the old days I pampered myself with monthly facials, and the smell of the half-darkened room where I reclined in comfort, warm moist towels on my face, soothing music . . . it had to be one of the most wonderfully calming and relaxing hours of the month.
Eucalyptus candles come closest to smelling like a spa, but most are rather costly. I found these aromatherapy candles at Bath & Body Works and this one, Eucalyptus Spearmint, is heavenly. I sat last night with it lit, reading in my chair, and it really took the stress away. And only $10.50.
I'll have to look for that now that I can actually shop by myself once ds #2 starts preschool this fall :)
ReplyDeleteI think green beans would be good with that chicken. We love those Bob Evans sweet potatoes, but I really need to learn how to make them from scratch or find some coupons for them, lol. I cannot believe what we are spending on groceries these days...sigh...
You are a wonderful mom! Making all of those dinners in advance so you and your dd can have a nice hot meal, I think it's a great idea :)
Bella :)
I love the look of candles, but with chronic sinus problems I cannot have the scented ones. What a shame, I always feel like I am missing out.
ReplyDeleteYour toes are lovely, by the way. Can't say I am sad to see the summer go, love, love the winter and fall.
Thanks for the ripple afghan compliments, you are a sweetie.

Cute toes, and I need a good smelling candle right now. I am looking forward to fall and cooler weather. Fall is my favorite time of the year. I think in addition to getting ready for the yard sale, I will pull out those fall decorations. Have a wonderful week. Jackie
ReplyDeleteI need to check out those candles. I burn candles all the time but I've never gotten those.
